Puppy Application and Placement Process

We are excited to announce that Arrowleaf Pembroke Welsh Corgis is now accepting applications for 2025 puppies! To ensure the best match between you and your new corgi companion and that we have serious, vetted homes lined up for our future breedings, we ask all potential puppy owners to fill out our application. There are no wrong answers, this is simply a jumping off point so I can get some information about you and your experience with the breed and start a dialogue. That being said, please try to give more than yes/no answers. I would love to get a good feel for who might be taking a puppy from us!

Upon approval of the application, a non refundable $100 fee via Venmo is required to be on our waitlist. This fee goes toward the total paid for your future puppy. With the payment of our waitlist fee, I will send you an invoice of the fee paid and total remaining on your future puppy.

Please include full name, email, and puppy color/gender preference in Venmo note.

Our goal is to place each puppy in a home where they will thrive, and we carefully consider both their temperament and your preferences when making placements. This process allows us to ensure a great fit for you and your future puppy. With that in mind, nature will give us what it gives us and being more flexible with your preferences will help the speed of placement. If you are set on a color/gender, it may take longer to place a puppy with you depending on what each litter gives. We look forward to reviewing your application and helping you find your new best friend!

Once we have our litters and they are thriving, I will go down my waitlist and let you know we have a puppy who meets what you are looking for. Deposit of $500 is due for specific puppy with my deposit contract signed and returned back to me. 

At 8 weeks or after puppies are ready to be sent off to their new homes. Take home contract to be filled out and signed with remainder due.

Note: Please understand I breed based off interest of fully vetted homes and it is not fair to any future puppies to be brought into this world without a home waiting for them. This fee ensures I have serious buyers with good homes lined up before any of my planned breedings take place. If a puppy is offered and a good faith effort is made to be able to get the puppy but it does not work out, a future puppy will be offered without having to resubmit an application at breeder's discretion. Please update breeder with any changes in application. (pet addition, change of living arrangements, etc.)

  • Have you ever owned a Pembroke Welsh Corgi before? Are you experienced with their puppy stage (example: nipping, barking, herding, chewing, etc.)?

  • Are you familiar with the grooming requirements for this breed?

  • Do you have other pet or animals? What type of animals do you own?

  • If you have other pets, are they socialized with (other) dogs?

​​

  • If you have dogs, are they spayed/neutered? If not, please explain why.

  • Do you have children in your home? If yes, what are their ages?

  • Does anyone in your household have allergies to animals? If yes, please specify the allergens and the severity of the reactions.

  • What is your activity level? Are you seeking a companion for specific activities?

  • Will you be using a trainer, or do you have experience with training?

  • Are you interested in a male or female puppy?

  • Do you have a color preference (Tri-color, Red, Sable)?

  • Have you ever returned a pet to a breeder? If so, please explain the circumstances.

  • Do you plan to breed your dog or show it?

  • If yes, please share your breeding or showing experience, and let us know if you have a mentor or if you're just starting your breeding program.

  • If breeding, will you take responsibility for finding a suitable partner with complementary genetics and structure (tested for DM and Von Willebrand's Disease)?

  • If not local, are you willing to pay to transport the puppy to you (pet cargo as weather permits) or travel for pick up?

  • If application approved, do you agree to pay waitlist fee to be placed on my contact list for a future puppy?
